I had significant hearing loss due to working on and with loud machinery, shooting without hearing protection, and chemotherapy treatments. I contacted Concha Audiology after receiving a flier in the mail. I received a thorough exam and hearing test. It was explained to me what my hearing loss was and the worse ranges. I was fitted with a “sample” hearing aid so I could hear what I’d been missing. It was explained to me the different hearing aids available and which would work best for my hearing loss and they were fitted to my ear canals. Since getting my hearing aids, Concha Audiology has provided me excellent service, changing my tubes and earpieces when they get stretched and worn. They always have them and batteries on hand. Dr. Concha is top notch. He doesn’t deal with insurance companies but he does work with organizations to get patients the hearing aides or other tools they need to live a normal life. He partners with many resources so you can find the best option that works for you. He’s compassionate and thorough. Allison is wonderful to work with as well. “I had been having difficulty hearing well for years, but did not realize how severe my hearing loss really was, even though everyone I communicated with was constantly having to repeat themselves. The TV had to be turned up for me, but it was so loud that the sound would drive everyone else out of the room. Also, the ringing sound I had in my ears was just something that I thought I was going to have to live with, until my wife convinced me to make an appointment with Dr. Concha. He is brilliant! After a very thorough exam, he fitted me with hearing aides that allow me to clearly hear sounds that I have not heard in years! The constant ringing in my ears has also gone away. Another thing that I am happy about is that most people don’t even realize that I am wearing them. Dr. Concha’s assistant, Stefanie, adds to the great experience I have had, since she is also so knowledgeable about how the hearing aides work. Stefanie is genuinely concerned about making sure that I have everything I need, such as hearing aide batteries, etc., and is readily available to answer questions. This is my 3rd Place going to for hearing aids, and my last. Not only are my over the ears aids great but the service is above and beyond. I drive 25 minutes to go here, but so worth it…his knowledge and the time he takes is above and beyond!
